| Turnover in trade and services increased 9.9 percent in the last quarter of 2009 when compared to the same period of 2008. According to figures of TurkStat, turnover in trade and services rose 6.7 percent in the last quarter of 2009 when compared to the previous quarter of 2009. Also, employment in trade and services increased 1.6 percent in the last quarter of 2009 when compared to the same period of 2008, while it dropped 1.4 percent when compared to the previous quarter of 2009. Trade and services gross wages-salaries index increased 6.0 percent compared to the same quarter of the previous year and 1.8 percent compared to previous quarter, in the fourth quarter of 2009. |
